Your Hayes and Coney Hall Ward Councillors are aware that a notification for prior approval has been made for the formation of a fertiliser storage lagoon at Court Farm in Layhams Road (ref: 24/01842/AGRIC).

We know that some residents are concerned about the contents of the waste matter going into the lagoon, with the resultant smells and the effect this would have on everyday living. There needs to be a full impact assessment on how the fertiliser lagoon would affect the local environment and residents.

We have ‘called in’ the application so that the decision will be made by a planning committee of elected Councillors in public. As yet, we don’t know when the application will be heard but we will let you know as soon as we hear.
